Adult Education and Learning

Our adult education program encompasses a myriad of offerings, from an adult bat mitzvah class to Jewish cooking.  Our adult bat mitzvah class continues to meet one Friday morning per month at 10 am.  All are welcome to join this class.  Torah study classes are regularly scheduled as well as a literary club.

The JCB participates in the Herbert Tarr North Shore Institute.  Rabbi Moskowitz also participated in Hofstra University Law School's Day of Dialogue on the "Israel/Palestine and the Blockade."  You can watch the video of the panel discussion here.  Occasionally we gather to watch and discuss Israeli films.

In addition the congregation partners with the 92nd Street Y for 92Y Live and the Shalom Hartman Institute for its lecture series and discussion.

Women's Spirituality classes are led by Rabbi Susie Heneson Moskowitz.  Congregants are also invited to participate in Temple Beth Torah's Mishpacha University classes where Rabbi Moskowitz is among the faculty.
